Based on my larger gallery work, I decided to create smaller pieces that can be worn, or used in a domestic setting.
For my brooches I like to keep the same style of work, with the same intrigue. But to make them into small precious objects I introduced more beading and feathers, and this gave them a more luxurious feel. My cushions are not really designed to be used in the traditional way; they are more art objects for chairs, although you can sit on them if you wish!
